FEATURES

LOW WEIGHT AND REDUCED VOLUME

Using conventional stoves in the field is cumbersome. You’ll need both dedicated heating vessels and dedicated containers to hold your heated water.

Use HEATSTICK instead, and reduce your overall pack weight and volume. HEATSTICK’s integrated dual use system lets you both hold and heat the water in the same container. HEATSTICK only fills approximately 0.1 liter (3.40 fl. oz.) of space inside the water container, so you can use your water container as a high-quality water bottle and a safe storage container for the HEATSTICK – all at the same time.

Since HEATSTICK is integrated into the water container, you can use it on all types of surfaces -including hanging – without stabilizers, windscreens or hanging kits (all of which you’ll need for a conventional stove). Again, you’ll reduce your overall pack weight and volume even more.

 

HIGH EFFICIENCY

HEATSTICK offers unparalleled fuel efficiency under harsh conditions. The highly consistent efficiency is possible because HEATSTICK is unaffected by wind, temperature or other surrounding climatic conditions – heating happens from the inside out.

HEATISTICK is the only heating system capable of heating water in a fully vacuum insulated water container (HEATGEARs VACUUM BOTTLE) for unprecedented performance and efficiency.

For a 4 day cold weather mission under alpine/subarctic conditions total weight required to operate is 50% less than required by multifuel stoves = Less load to carry.

 

STEALTH PERFORMANCE

HEATSTICK is ideal for use at night and in hostile environments. It doesn’t emit any light, making it undetectable by night goggles. It has a neutral thermal signature during use (same as body temperature). Plus, it’s silent and odorless.

 

USE UNDER ANY CONDITIONS

The HEATSTICK operates optimally under any wind/precipitation conditions, and in a temperature range from -30C to + 50C.

 

NO OPEN FLAME

HEATSTICK uses HEATGEARs patented flameless heating technology. This minimizes the risk of burning the operator or igniting any surrounding combustibles. You can use HEATSTICK  under conditions where a normal stove would not be safe – learn more.

 

INCREASED SAFETY

In addition to flameless heating technology, all hot parts are shielded. This minimizes the risk of burning the operator and igniting surrounding combustibles.

The design enables integration of HEATSTICK and water container into a single unit, reducing the risk of burns and flair ups if the HEATSTICK falls over when in use.

 

BUILT-IN PRESSURE REGULATOR

HEATSTICK doesn’t require any adjustments while in use. A built-in pressure regulator automatically adjusts gas flow for optimal heat output and fuel efficiency at all temperatures, elevations and fuel levels.

 

THERMAL VALVE

HEATSTICK’s built in thermal valve automatically stops gas flow when your HEATSTICK gets too hot.  Still, we recommend turning off the HEATSTICK when your water has reached the desired temperature.

 

BUILT-IN PRESSURE RELIEVES VALVE FOR INCREASED SAFETY

HEATSTICK’s built-in pressure valve prevents excess pressure buildup in the water container as temperature increases.

 

TOUGH ALL-WEATHER IGNITER

Our igniter is specially designed to ignite a HEATSTICK under any conditions without the use of fire, sparks or light.

 

STANDARD WIDE-MOUTH THREAD (Ø63 mm)

Both the bottles and the HEATSTICK have a standard wide-mouth thread (Ø63 mm) and works with most backcountry water filters – including water filters from Katadyne, MSR and SteriPen, bottle accessories and caps as well as standard wide-mouth water containers from Camelbak, Nalgene, LifeVenture etc.
